Journal 5...Here's the Jist...and Dallas

Here's the Jist:

In my last post I started doing a new thing called 'here's the jist'. This is my section where I give guys, and sometimes girls, my advice on the opposite gender. In terms of being friends, and maybe something more. So here's two more.

#1 Friends
Girls like having guy friends. And I'm sure that guys like having girls as friends too. For girls, we love having tons of friends; and sometimes it almost seems like it's a competition between girls of who has the most. Mainly it's over guys. And normally guys take it the wrong way.
Tip #1 Multiple Friends
A lot of times girls play favorites, and a lot of times guys take it the wrong way. If a girl is talking about you a lot with her girl friends, or if she is texting you a lot more than usual, she might be interested in you. But she might just be trying to send a message to someone. More than likely, she feels threatened on losing that friendship to another girl and is trying to be buddy-buddy with you. Be careful.

#2 We are Right
As girls, we always like to be right. (guys too) If a guy friend contradicts what we are saying, we get really frustrated at them. Not cool!
Tip #2  Be a Support System
Even if you don't agree with what the other person is saying, be nice about it. Especially if your in a relationship. So many relationships go south because of disagreements. Sometimes it's okay to agree to disagree. Being on opposite ends of the spectrum can be good sometimes. Just not all the time.

2 Little Peopods:

This past weekend me and my family went to Dallas for a mini vacation. (That's why I'm a few days late on the post!) We had such an amazing time! We went with my aunt and her two kids, a two year old and a one year old. They were soooo much fun! They are adorbs, and really smart. Like, super smart. The two year old really made me pause for a second. He is so full of life, personality, and a positive attitude. He's one of those people that you hand a rock, and all of a sudden he's in the middle of a huge battle throwing rock bombs at the enemy. He can find something extraordinary in everything!

While we were there it started to storm. And not your regular storm. I'm talking cats.and.dogs.storm.
We had to delay our leaving time by a whole day because it was so bad.
Anyways, I was watching my little cousin while it was raining and we were underneath an arch. It was raining on us and we were standing in puddles. He says, "It's raining on my head! Cool! Lets jump in the puddles, it's like the ocean!"
Wow...I mean, here was a two year old, he doesn't like changes that are abrupt, he wasn't with his mom, it was cold and wet, kind of scary with thunder and lightening, and he was laughing!
It made me realize that we can always find the rainbow, even in the pouring rain.
I mean, if your always looking for something good, then that's what your gonna find.
So I want to challenge you to do something, be positive.
Today my mom told me that you attitude determines your altitude. Which means that your attitude determines where your going to go in life. So.be.positive.
That's my two sense.

Journal # 5

So how did you like the most embarrassing moment journal? I bet it was interesting. I would love to hear some of your stories!

This week's topic is:

Your three favorite things, and your three least favorite things. And why?
(This one should be fun, although I have to say, the most embarrassing one is my personal favorite. :)

Here's mine:
Three Favorite:
1. Makeup (Could not live without it)
2. Being with my Friends (best thing in the world!)
3. Listening to my Music (Soundtrack of my life: Coldplay!)

Three least Favorite:
1. Spiders (they make me black-out! LOL)
2. Slow drivers (when you get stuck behind the guy who thinks going 25 is fast!)
3. Cats (I'm allergic and they just make me feel icky!)

Hope that gives you some inspiration! Have a great week!
:)

All my love,
Miriam :P
